1:1 / Group Clinical SupervisionAre you a psychoanalyst, psychotherapist, counsellor, or trainee in these fields? Are you looking for an opportunity to think about your clinical practice with an experienced supervisor?Guild members are highly trained psychoanalytic practitioner, many of whom have substantial experience of providing individual and group clinical supervision in private practice and in the voluntary, private, and public sectors, including the NHS. WHAT IS CLINICAL SUPERVISION?Clinical supervision is a process that seeks to make practitioners question what they do. It is less about providing knowledge than helping supervisees become more aware of how they work and why. Supervisees engage with the process thoughtfully and the supervisor's comments and questions may help them in this pursuit. Careful questioning may bring to light clinical aspects to which the supervisee had paid little attention. Bringing out what is implicit in the supervisees’ work, and thinking through the effects of their actions and omissions, can have significant effects on their work. Through this process a supervisee's clinical practice may change and develop. |
